Chicken of the Sea® Honors Austin Woman for Commitment to Healthier Living
Amy Thang is “Sea the Possibilities Challenge” Winner for serving her family more heart-healthy meals
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (March 29, 2016) – Chicken of the Sea has singled-out a Texas woman for creating and serving a heart-healthy new menu to her family.
Amy Thang of Austin was honored for making good on a commitment to live a more adventurous, happier and healthier life as part of the seafood provider’s Sea the Possibilities Challenge lifestyle initiative. As the “In-the-Kitchen” Challenge winner, Thang was chosen from among thousands of participants for her desire – and ability – to break out of her health and fitness comfort zone by creating a number of innovative new seafood and other recipes that feature omega-3 and other heart-healthy fats.
Thang created one recipe in particular, Barbecue Salmon Pizza, specifically to encourage her family to eat more seafood and other heart-healthy foods.

Sea the Possibilities Challenge is a three-month health and lifestyle initiative to inspire Americans to try bold new foods, everyday experiences or bucket list adventures. Participants accept a challenge at one of three levels and share their personal journey through a story, photo or video. Monthly winners, like Amy, are eligible to win a Grand Prize cash award of $5,000 that can be applied directly toward future Sea the Possibilities adventures.
