95 Percent of Survey Respondents Recommend Tuna Cups to a Friend

SAN DIEGO – Apr. 29, 2008 – The results are in, and what makes consumers’ mouths water are affordable and convenient food choices that offer easy ways to eat healthy fast.

Chicken of the Sea International is meeting that need by offering delicious, shelf-stable seafood through its tuna and salmon cups.  What’s more, consumers have enthusiastically responded, awarding Chicken of the Sea’s Premium Chunk White Tuna Cups the Cooking Club of America Member Tested and Recommended Seal of Approval.

The Cooking Club of America – a national club made up of 500,000 members – allows consumers to test and provide feedback on food or other kitchen-related products. Based on a scale of one to 10, club members submit responses to 10 product criteria, including appearance, taste, price and uniqueness, which are tallied to determine consumer approval ratings.

Tested by 778 members, Chicken of the Sea’s Premium Chunk White Tuna Cups received a 95 percent approval rating, with most consumers noting the tuna cups’ ease of use, quality, taste and appearance.  The easy-to-open cups – which come in pre-drained 2.8-ounce two-packs – also earned an overall rating of 8.8 percent, along with a 9.1 rating for quality and a 9.6 rating for ease of preparation. In order to receive the Seal of Approval, at least two-thirds of testers must recommend the product.
