Holiday Tuna Tree
1 (5-oz.) pouch Chicken of the Sea® Premium Light Tuna Pouch
1 (8-oz.) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts or nuts of choice
1/4 cup finely chopped ripe olives
2 Tablespoons capers, drained
1 Tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Whole red bell pepper, sliced into small circles
Toasted bread rounds or crackers
In bowl, combine Chicken of the Sea® Tuna and cream cheese. Add walnuts, olives, capers, lemon juice, mustard, thyme, salt and pepper; blend ingredients well. On serving platter, shape into a tree about 6-inches high and 4-inches in diameter at base. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Decorate with garlands of small parsley leaves and half circles of bell pepper. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Serve with bread rounds or crackers.
Makes approximately 36 servings.
Substitute approximately 1 (12-oz.) can of drained tuna for 1 pouch.
