Chicken of the Sea® Answers the Call (for Tuna) from U.S. Olympic Diver Amy Cozad
Seafood provider offers to stock the U.S. Diving Team pantry after Cozad admits tuna is her “must-have” on competition day
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Aug. 10, 2016) – Chicken of the Sea is doing what it can to help U.S. Olympians reach for the gold in Rio – even asking to stock the pantry of the U.S. Diving Team with tuna and salmon as high-protein performance fuel.
The San Diego, Calif., seafood provider today offered to provide U.S. Diver Amy Cozad and her U.S. Diving Team with a supply of its tuna and salmon after the 25-year-old Bloomington, Ind., resident admitted that tuna was her pre-diving “must-have.”
Said Cozad on the NBC Olympics website: “Tuna is my only must-have on competition day. A packet of tuna from Walmart or a tuna sandwich from Subway. Gotta have it!”
One of the world’s leading providers of healthy, sustainable seafood, Chicken of the Sea provides tuna, salmon, clams, crab, oysters, shrimp, mackerel, kipper snacks and sardines in cans, cups and pouches. The company has offered to send Cozad and the team a selection of Chicken of the Sea® Solid White Albacore and Flavored Salmon Pouches products for the ultimate in high-protein pre-competition nutrition.
There’s been no response yet from Cozad or the U.S. Diving Team but her newest fans at Chicken of the Sea remain hopeful.
