OVERVIEW OF ROLE
Join the Chicken of the Sea brand as our Senior Finance Manager. The Senior Finance Manager will play a key role within the company focusing on delivering aggressive growth targets. This individual will develop and maintain actionable and insightful analysis for all areas of the business. The position will work cross-functionally to understand and explain revenue and cost variances versus budget, forecast, and year-ago comparisons; and implement action plans to mitigate risks and capitalize on potential opportunities. Through sound financial and accounting principles, the Senior Finance Manager. will review and support the monthly close for accuracy and lead the forecast and budgeting process. Additionally, the role will involve developing and tracking KPIs, identifying actions to drive financial performance, and creating presentation packages for management. Utilizing technology, the Senior Finance Manager. will develop and automate KPI scorecards to facilitate improved financial results.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling
- Prepare accurate and insightful financial analysis to drive decision-making by executive team
- Build strong working relationships with cross-functional business leaders to identify, execute, and track corporate initiatives
- Review Sales and Marketing strategies to assess the financial impact to the organization
- Create pro forma P&Ls to highlight risks and opportunities for new business
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations to analyze product cost and build an accurate forecast
- Review monthly financial results, providing clear and concise commentary on variances
- Interact with Group Reporting finance team and coordinate monthly submission of key deliverables in the corporate planning tool
- Develop dynamic and insightful presentations and effectively review with others
- Enhance business analytics, tools, and automated reporting within the company. Develop customer and product P&Ls to make profitability information readily available to stakeholders.
- Lead a variety of ad-hoc projects for the company
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-7 years of financial analysis experience; in consumer goods, food and beverage or retail preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or Accounting; MBA desirable
- Experience managing large sets of data, strong analytical and financial modeling skills, advanced Excel (pivot tables, slicers, lookup, etc.), and PowerPoint skills
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and other data repository tools; ERP system implementation and optimization experience a plus
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving environment: strong team player with a desire to take on increasing levels of responsibility;
- Energetic self-starter, ability to work independently
- Ability to prioritize, adapt, and remain flexible while managing multiple projects
- Ability to collect, analyze and summarize complex business situations; ability to draw logical conclusions and solve problems
- Ability to be creative and innovative while maintaining attention to detail
- Exceptional problem-solving skills to address challenges in financial processes or systems
