Overview of the Role

The Master Data Analyst is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of master data across multiple business systems. This role supports data management initiatives, executes data cleansing and validation activities, and collaborates with functional teams to ensure high-quality data for business operations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and validate master data across ERP or CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Workday).
  • Coordinate and collect detailed information from across the organization; collaborating with Marketing, Innovation, Sales Planning, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Finance.
  • Perform data cleansing, auditing, and enrichment to improve data quality.
  • Monitor and report data integrity metrics to ensure compliance with internal data standards.
  • Support data governance processes and assist in defining data policies and procedures.
  • Assist in data migration projects by validating and preparing data for uploads.
  • Work with parent company to manage system and processes around customer and product data.
  • Document data management processes, workflows, and change control logs.
  • Provide user support and training on data-related processes or updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in data management, analytics, or ERP systems.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups).
    • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle Fusion, or JD Edwards.
    • Basic knowledge of SQL for querying and analyzing data.
    • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
    • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) frameworks or tools (e.g., Informatica, SAP MDG).
  • Understanding of data governance, data privacy, and compliance standards.
  • Experience working in industries like manufacturing, retail, or healthcare where data quality is business critical.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, communicate (typically by talking, listening, writing, and typing), move around the office to various locations for meetings and in-person gatherings, and reach or carry materials with arms and hands. 

Moreover, the employee is required to operate telephones, computers and other standard office equipment. Employee may, on occasion, be required to lift up to 35 lbs.
