Sweepstakes Period: The Chicken of The Sea Email Sign Up Campaign Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) begins at 12:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on July 9, 2024 and ends at 11:50 PM ET June 30, 2025 (the “Sweepstakes Period”). Administrator’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Sweepstakes.
Eligibility: Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are the age of majority and sign up to receive emails from Chicken of the Sea. Officers, directors, and employees of Tri-Union Seafoods, LLC d/b/a Chicken of the Sea International (“Chicken of the Sea” or “Sponsor”), competitors of Chicken of the Sea and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers, advertising and promotion agencies, and any other entity associated with the Sweepstakes and their immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, and siblings and their spouses) and/or those living in the same household of each, are not eligible to participate or win a prize. This Sweepstakes is invalid in locations where prohibited by law and is subject to all federal, state, and local laws.
Prize and Approximate/ Retail Value (“ARV”): One (1) Grand Prize: consisting of 6 new Chicken of the Sea packets and a Chicken of the Sea Swag Mailer awarded by mail to the winner’s provided address and a $50 Amazon eGift Card awarded electronically to the winner’s provided email address. Total ARV for the Grand Prize is $100. All federal, state and/or local income and other taxes on the actual value of the prize are the winner’s sole responsibility.
How To Enter: During the Sweepstakes Period, individuals eligible for the sweepstakes will have the option to add their email address and push the “Subscribe” button on www.chickenofthesea.com and complete the “Confirm Subscription” email they will receive once the first step is completed. Doing so will earn one (1) Entry (“Entry”). NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. You do not need to buy or own a Chicken of the Sea product to include it in your Entry. Limit one (1) Entry per person/email address during each quarter within the Sweepstakes Period and the individual must be actively subscribed at the time of the drawing. Multiple Entries received in excess of one (1) overall from any person during each quarter within the Sweepstakes Period will be void. All Entries must be received by 11:59 PM ET at the end of each fiscal quarter (September 30th, December 31st, March 31st, June 30th ).
Privacy: Information collected from entrants is subject to the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy:https://chickenofthesea.com/privacy-policy/. Entrants should be aware that Sponsor may be collecting non-public, personally-identifiable information about them in connection with the operation of the Sweepstakes.
Selection of Grand Prize Winner: One (1) Grand Prize winner will be randomly selected on the next business day after the end of each fiscal quarter (October 1st, January 1st, April 1st, July 1st) from among all eligible Entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. Drawing will be conducted by the Administrator, an independent organization whose decisions are final and binding on all matters related to the Sweepstakes drawings. Odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible Entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.
Winner Notification & Verification: Potential Grand Prize winner will be notified via the email address provided at the time of Entry and will be required to electronically provide Chicken of the Sea with a mailing address and phone number within five (5) days of notification attempt. If the potential Grand Prize winner fails to provide the requested information within the required time period, or in the event that the potential Grand Prize winner is disqualified for any reason, an alternate winner may be selected. Potential Grand Prize winner is subject to verification by Sponsor and/or Administrator, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. An entrant is not a winner of any prize unless and until the entrant’s eligibility has been verified and the entrant has been notified that verification is complete.

General Conditions: Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Sweepstakes, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion and in the event of cancellation, the prize will be awarded in a random drawing from among all eligible Entries received during the quarter within the Sweepstakes Period prior to cancellation. Sponsor, Administrator, and their agencies are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, stolen, or misdirected Entries; lost, interrupted, or unavailable network, server, or other connections, garbled transmissions or miscommunications, telephone transmission problems; computer or software malfunctions or damage to a user’s computer equipment (software or hardware); technical failures; or other errors or malfunctions of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, or otherwise. Proof of sending or submission of Entry will not be deemed proof of receipt by Sponsor or Administrator. Sponsor’s or Administrator’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAW, AND, SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PROSECUTE AND SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be attempting to tamper with or undermine the Entry process, and/or the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes; to violate these Official Rules; or to act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including but not limited to, any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control that impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, void any suspect Entries and modify the Sweepstakes or suspend the Sweepstakes to address the impairment and then resume the Sweepstakes in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules.
Release and Limitations of Liability: By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants agree that Sponsor, Administrator, and each of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, franchisees, representatives, consultants, contractors, legal counsel, advertising, public relations, promotional, fulfillment and marketing agencies, website providers, web masters, and their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (the “Released Parties“) are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the Entry process or the Sweepstakes; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of Entries; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of prize.
BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES, ENTRANTS AGREE THAT THE RELEASED PARTIES WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR, AND SHALL BE HELD HARMLESS BY ENTRANTS AGAINST, ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURIES, LOSSES, OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND TO PERSONS, INCLUDING PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH, OR PROPERTY RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, MISUSE, OR USE OF PRIZE, ENTRY, OR PARTICIPATION IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR IN ANY SWEEPSTAKES RELATED ACTIVITY, OR ANY CLAIMS BASED ON PUBLICITY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION OR INVASION OF PRIVACY, OR MERCHANDISE DELIVERY. THE RELEASED PARTIES ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF PRIZE CANNOT BE AWARDED DUE TO CANCELLATIONS, DELAYS, OR INTERRUPTIONS DUE TO ACTS OF GOD, ACTS OF WAR, NATURAL DISASTERS, WEATHER, PANDEMICS, OR TERRORISM.
WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, EVERYTHING REGARDING THIS SWEEPSTAKES, INCLUDING ALL PRIZES, ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. SOME JURISDICTIONS MAY NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY. Publicity. Except where prohibited, Grand Prize winner by acceptance of the prize, grants to the Sponsor, the right to publicize his/her name (first name and last initial), address (city and state of residence), photograph, voice, statements and/or other likeness and prize information in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, for advertising, trade, and other purposes, throughout the world, in perpetuity, in any manner, without limitation and without additional compensation, consideration, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law. Grand Prize winner agrees to participate in such reasonable publicity as may be requested by Sponsor. For purposes of administrating the Sweepstakes and awarding the prize, Sponsor may disclose or transmit such personal information to third parties rendering services in relation to the Sweepstakes, including but not limited to the Administrator.
Disputes: Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in the State ofCalifornia; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (3) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than foractual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of California or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of California.
