OVERVIEW OF ROLE

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for inventory in all Chicken of the Sea designated warehouses, as well as facilitating the movement of finished goods product from DC to DC. This position includes processing invoices for Warehouse and Logistics, resolving Inventory discrepancies, while also serving as an essential support role for various departments regarding reporting and product tracing as well.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Maintain a 95% inventory accuracy or higher at each 3PL warehouse, provide support and analysis conducting the annual physical inventories. Review and analyze daily inventory transactions from all 3PLs, as well as provide support for various departments with any Inventory inquiries.  
  • Maintain data accuracy across COSI internal systems including but not limited to sending / receiving EDI updates, inventory adjustments, tracking damages, and assisting with inventory reconciliation.   
  • Updated and distribute the FDA/QA Hold Report, as well as other reports as needed. Assist QA with Product Trace projects.
  • Input and process all replenishment orders from DC to DC per planner’s request.
  • Review and approve payments for warehouse and freight expenses, manage the CHEP program along with other misc. invoice processing associated with the logistics department.
  • Oracle maintenance as it relates to Warehousing and Logistics.
  • Assist in the management of all freight claims (overages, shortages, and damages) to resolution.
  • Provide Proof of Delivery from carriers for Sale Services, Credit & Collection, and Deduction departments as well as researching and assisting with discrepancies.
  • Assist in special projects regarding COSI product as needed.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of transportation/logistics/supply chain experience
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills. Communicates effectively and interacts professionally with customers, co-workers and management.
  • Take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision while exercising good business judgment.
  • Good organizational and Analytical skills with the ability to plan, organize, prioritize, multi-task and use time effectively. Demonstrates attention to detail.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

Preferred Skills

  •  BS in Business, Accounting, or Logistics
  • 2-4 years Logistics experiences
  • Critical Thinking – using Logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Computer experience, including Oracle.
  • Familiarity with Chicken of the Sea International product line and customer base.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, communicate, usually through talking, hearing, writing and typing. Employee should be able to operate standard office equipment, i.e., telephones, computers, facsimile and copier. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk, and move or lift to 35 lbs. The employee regularly works in a well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with a moderate degree of noise.

The employee is required to comply with all company policies, rules and directives, including safe work practices.
