  • 10 slices rye bread
  • 5 slices Swiss cheese
  • 5 tomato slices
  • 5 slices sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine all of the ingredients for the tuna salad and mix well.
  2. Cover and refrigerate until you are ready to make the sandwiches.
  3. Set the oven on low broil.
  4. Place 5 slices of rye bread on a baking sheet pan.
  5. Spoon the tuna salad evenly on the slices of bread.
  6. Top with a slice of Swiss cheese, a tomato slice and a slice of cheddar cheese.
  7. Leave the sandwiches open-face, but place the remaining bread slices on the baking sheet pan to allow them to lightly toast.
  8. Place in the hot oven and heat for 3-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
  9. Serve immediately.
